Our brick-built bungalow
has a large living and sleeping room with dining area (20 m2),
a small sleeping room (7m2), a kitchen, a bathroom/WC and a
large covered verandah.
The bungalow is situated in a garden of nearly 300m2 with ornamental
planting and bushes (the original Corsican Macchia), hedges
and some trees. In the garden there are different seating areas:
You can always choose between sitting in the sun or in a shadowy
area. In addition to the hedges we have also placed some wooden
fences to secure privacy in the garden.
In the bungalow
there are four beds (two in the big room and two in the small
sleeping room). There is laundry for four persons. There are
two large seats and a dining area (with bench in the corner
and two chairs) and a bookshelf (most books in Dutch and in
German language). In the small sleeping room there are beside
the two beds also a small cupboard and two stools.
In the garden there is a table
with four chairs, two small chairs, two plastic chairs with
cushions, four folding sunbeds and two sun-umbrellas.
In the kitchen you dispose of
a gas cooker with two jets, an electric cooker and a small electric
oven (with an extra cooker), a refrigerator, a water- kettle,
a coffeemachine, pots and pans as well as crockery for four
persons.
Water: In the kitchen, in the
bathroom as well as on the outside shower there is cold and
warm water (electric boiler).
„A Furesta“ is considered to be one
of the most beautiful holiday villages on Corsica. It is situated
around 60 km south of Bastia on the eastern coast of the island.
During summer many of the circa 100 bungalows are inhabited
by there owners. Through this originates a special familiar
atmosphere. Even if there are some Dutch, French and English
speaking guests most you must be aware that german is the main
language. The name „A Furesta“ is the corsican word
for wood and between the bungalows there are many trees and
bushes. Some owners also have created beautiful garden with
ornamental planting.

The wide sandy beach is reached via
a small
bridge crossing the Chiosura brook. From
our bungalow the
beach is three minutes
walking.

„A Furesta“ is one of
the nudist holiday
villages along the east
coast. The nudist
beach begins some
kilometers to the
north and extends
some kilometers to
the south. Near our
entrance to the beach
there is a small
restaurant. If you
want to make a longer walk along the beach you will
find directly on the beach circa 10 establishements
with food and drinks.
Practical
information Foodstuff and other shopping:
The nearest supermarket where you can buy nearly everything
necessary is situated a few kilometers to the north on the Route
Nationale 198 near the lighthouse of Alistro. In this shopping
center there are also a pharmacy, an optician and a newspaper
stall. You can drive there within five minutes. Other supermarkets
are in Moriani-Plage, Folelli and Aleria. The nearest tobacco
shop is „Oasis-bar“ a few kilometers norht of A
Furesta. Petrol: Along the main road there
are many filling stations. If you are planning a trip in the
mountains it is recommendable to fill up before: along the Corsican
mountain roads there are only a few filling stations. Telephone: Corsica is reasonably
well covered by different french cellular phone companies. In
A Furesta you have a choice of at least two networks. There
is also a telephone-box working on french telephone cards. In
France phone cards are sold in tobacco shops and post offices.
Post office: The nearest post
office is in Moriani-plage.
